About Glorify
Glorify is a fast-growing business on a mission to become the world’s largest digital platform for the 2.5 billion Christians in the world. Our ultimate goal is that every Christian, every day, would find joy and intimacy with God through Glorify.
Through bite-size readings, gamification techniques and world class user experience, we enable believers to spend daily time with God. Glorify has achieved 16 million downloads and has millions of weekly active users.
Having completed Series A and Series B funding rounds (2022) Glorify is backed by Tier 1 Venture Capitalists, enabling us to maintain our ambitious growth targets. We recruit the very best talent from a diverse range of backgrounds all over the world.
Glorify is guided by Christian values, but we emphasize you don’t need to be a Christian to work here. You do however need to share our passion in striving for excellence in everything we do.
Our main focus is growing a fantastic global team who put the needs of our users first.
About the role
- This role will be primarily responsible for implementation of features and improvements within Glorify’s iOS app, currently used by millions of users across the globe.
- You will collaborate closely with other members of the engineering and product teams to deliver world-class capabilities throughout the Glorify ecosystem.
- Your work will support feature development, continuous technical improvements and evolution of our stack to align with business and user scale.
- We believe in development as a craft, and are looking for avid technologists who can apply their skills toward building sustainable software solutions.
- We are looking for smart people who get things done - strong critical thinkers who are execution-oriented and understand that “shipping is a feature”.
- We value team players who are focused on finding the best answer rather than winning arguments. We have a strict “no egos allowed” policy
- This role can be fully remote anywhere in the USA. You must be willing to work Pacific Coast hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, develop, and deliver high-quality features to our users in a native iOS (Swift) environment
- Leverage deep subject matter expertise to help drive innovation. Expand the scope of “what’s possible” for our users.
- Ensure a high-quality, performant user experience across a wide device spectrum
- Ensure the technical and functional quality of solutions. Build and maintain the automated unit, integration, functional, and synthetic tests where appropriate.
- Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies and tools where appropriate to maximize developer productivity
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback on PR
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years of professional hands-on iOS development experience
- Deep expertise with X-code, Swift, and core iOS frameworks. You should be up to date on new frameworks like SwiftUI
- Understanding of common mobile app architectures (MVP, MVVM, etc.) and how to apply them
- Familiar with continuous integration/release tooling and publishing apps via the App Store
- Good understanding of automated test paradigms and how to apply them
- Strong customer focus and empathy - passionate about providing a quality user experience
- Good understanding of UX and UI design best practices
- Knowledge of Apple’s design principles and application interface guidelines
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Good communication skills - the ability to articulate ideas (and the reasoning behind them) clearly
Benefits
- We are an ambitious, fast-growing business - so there will be many opportunities for you to progress in your career
- Though we are a geographically dispersed organization, we ensure our employees stay connected, even those who work entirely remotely. You will get to know your colleagues well through virtual social meet-ups, online social events, bi-weekly global update meetings and on a day-to-day basis
- Equipment - if you don’t already have a working laptop we will ensure this is provided
- Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision
- Competitive compensation and possibility of stock options
- Unlimited PTO (including sick leave)
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Access to Perks At Work
